In 1979, Martin Cox was established with the intention of supplying the nation with genuine high-quality chamois leather, as finishers and distributors. After seeing the high demand of chamois, they made the decision to offer an additional product – stockinette, more commonly known as mutton cloth.

This proved to be a success with many in the South of England asking for regular supplies of stockinette, leading to the converting and eventual independent manufacturing of mutton cloth.

To date, the Martin Cox has expanded far beyond the early days – being importers and distributors of detailing brushes, microfibre cloths, commercial sprayers and virtually anything inbetween.

Despite this significant development in their product range, their professional objective has remained the same over the years: providing quality products that are sold with confidence.
