3M Company is an American multinational conglomerate who invent, manufacture, and sell goods for the automotive market, among many others, on a large scale across several nations.

The then-named Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company was founded by Dr. J. Danley Budd, Henry. S. Bryan, William A. McGonagle, John Dwan and Hermon W. Cable in Two Harbors, Minnesota. The business fell victim to several bouts of bad luck during its early years, with 3M's first exclusive product being abrasive cloth. Commercial and financial struggles did not dishearten the eager founders, but instead drove them even further towards their eventual success!

Their journey into the automotive industry began in 1937, where a breakthrough in technologies allowed 3M to create reflective materials used to improve highway signs and markings (among many other breakthroughs at the time) with their first reflective traffic sign being erected a year later in Minneapolis. Since then, the array of industry-specific products invented and sold to this demographic has only flourished over the years - from vehicle wrapping, to classic body polishing, 3M have ensured that the possibilities in the industry are endless...
